Sandy Waste Water Treatment PlantCornforth Consultants was retained to perform a geotechnical investigation for the Sandy Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion. New structures included an aeration basin and two secondary clarifiers (founded 18 to 22 feet below grade), and several at-grade tanks. An existing holding pond was also reconstructed with an embankment 8 to 10 feet in height.
A field exploration program consisted of drilling two borings. Following the field explorations, laboratory testing was performed on the retrieved samples. Findings and recommendations were summarized in a geotechnical report.
